Within our weekly article for cooking with children, a classic like muffins could not be missing. These miniature cakes are always liked by children, and they also give us multiple decoration possibilities for our children to exercise their artistic skills in the field of "creative" cuisine.
In this case we suggest something simple such as whipped cream, toppings, and some birthday candle figurines for example. But I also recommend that you let the children express themselves by decorating them as they like. Give them the ingredients for it and you will see how they surprise you ...
- 4 eggs
- 1 yogurt
- Olive oil
- Lemon scent
1- Preheat the oven to 170ºC only the bottom part.
2- We put the 4 eggs and the yogurt in a bowl to beat.
3- We use the empty yogurt container to put two measures of sugar and one of oil.
4- We also put two teaspoons of lemon aroma and a small tablespoon of baking powder. We beat it with the mixer.
5- We are beating and we introduce 3 containers (of the yogurt glass) of flour, beating between each one so that lumps do not form.
6- Once everything is beaten, we grease a special mold for muffins with butter (we can also use special paper for muffins).
7- We pour the mixture into each hole without reaching the top.
8- We put in the oven and wait 15 minutes.
It is important not to open the oven during this time. After the first 15 minutes, we put the oven to heat up and down and leave it for another 15 minutes, depending on the oven (some may require less time). Once made, we remove the muffins from the oven and, being careful not to burn ourselves, remove them from the molds and place them in special muffin paper. The time has come to decorate them. You can use icing, whipped cream, toppings, lacasitos or whatever your children's imagination asks of you ...
